eugene hutz or "ukrainian men have premium penis"

finally watched "everything is illuminated" last night. very enjoyable film. funny, sweet, and sad.

i have to say, i have been a gogol bordello fan for a while, but never looked too deeply in. i think i have a little celeb crush on eugene hutz, who is both the singer of gogol bordello and the actor who played alex, one of the main characters in the movie.

"everything is illuminated" definitely made me miss europe during some of the scenes which showed the countryside or parts on the train. i didn't go to eastern europe, but some of it looked similar to some of the smaller areas i passed through on the trains.

i would love to take a similar trip to get back to my roots and trek through denmark and germany.

i really enjoyed eugene's character alex. the way he translated was pretty hilarious, using words like premium for anything good - "many girls want to be carnal with me... because i'm such a premium dancer!". basically using grander words than befit the situation. and i have to say, i really really love his voice.

"everything is illuminated" was an interesting follow up to the first movie we saw yesterday - "borat: cultural learnings of america for make benefit glorious nation of kazakhstan".

"borat" was pretty great. it dragged a little in a few spots, but there was a point or two where i laughed so hard i was almost wretching - like the aftermath of azamat's hand party [if you haven't seen the movie, you will definitely freak over that part!]. damn. this flick has to be seen to be believed!

next two days are all booked up. going to nicole's birthday dinner at sushi rock grill and tomorrow a football barbeque! wheee! our livingroom furniture will finally be delivered on tuesday, so soon our house will be more house-y and we will be able to have people over! hooray!

anyways, i've got a rumble in my tummy, so i am gonna go make a sammich and then get to work! i have a bunch of things to do before i go out tonight!
