the recap

well, i'm still sick.

fortunately, the last few mornings joel has had to work and i have been able to sleep in. last night i was running a fever, but i still managed to stick it out through a delicious sushi dinner with joel's parents, half of a [technically speaking] shitty musical [kate was wonderful though!], and a housewarming party.

i was supposed to go with joel to pierfest - this big outdoor concert of local area bands - but i opted out as i am still feeling like turd. i sent him down with my camera to capture the action. he's coming back to pick me up afterwards to meet up with his parents, aunt and her three kids [adopted from china] for dinner at westshore pizza. afterwards, i'm supposed to be going to see stellastarr with kate while joel does his sunday ngiht shift, but i haven't made up my mind whether or not i will go. we shall see how i feel after dinner. i ate something a little while ago and i seem to have perked up a little, so maybe i will still go.

let's see... what have i not talk about in regards to this trip.

we had a lovely dinner with rita on thursday night. she made us steak, baked potatoes and salad. she also sent us home with an armload of curious george swag! it was very nice to see her, especially considering we hadn't been able to cross paths since last year.

the dali museum was amazing as always. i bought the surreal shot glass. i'll have to show it to you when i get home. it's hard to explain. after we went there, we wandered through a couple of the shops on central and had a smoothie and played chess at the surreal bowl. the surreal bowl is this neat little place that's a cereal bar - i shit you not - a place where you can go and eat all different kinds of cereal. you name it, they've probably got it.

tried to call my mom today since it's her birthday, but she wasn't home. :(

anyways, i'm gonna go lie down again for a while til joel comes home to get me. talk to you later.
